Minehead EYE

Somerset

This project provides a purpose built community and multifunctional centre. Minehead EYE is open to all and encourages creativity in sports, art, music and media. Keeping in-house costs low was one of the objectives for this project. The available space was maximised and contains a double storey large span multi-purpose hall used for extreme sports and music events. It also has a cafe, recording studio, DJ booth, IT suite, media lab and games room. Poor ground conditions along with contamination were present on this brownfield site, within an area of potential flood risk. An efficient and robust superstructure was called for that responded to the site constraints and large span spaces which were aesthetically pleasing, sustainable and cost effective.

“Integral worked well with us and helped us to get around a number of problems which we encountered along the way. As new clients it was great to have consultants who understood our ethos and what the project was all about. Thanks for all your help and input.”
