Engineer

Toby is a committed and enthusiastic engineer who enjoys working on a variety of new build and conservation projects. In his design work, he brings a considered and methodical approach and works with a calm and positive personality. He has a keen interest in the conservation of listed buildings and, across all of his project work, offers low carbon solutions to engineering challenges.

Completing his master’s degree at the University of Bristol in 2017 Toby joined the Integral team in September 2018. Since then he has gained valuable experience in all areas of structural design making notable contributions at the Grade II listed Boston Lodge works for Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railway, on student accommodation at Oxford Brookes University Clive Booth Student Village, and on a new welcome building at the National Trust’s Tyntesfield site. Alongside his project work, Toby is currently pursuing his professional accreditation with the Institution of Structural Engineers.

People are central to the way Toby approaches his work. He is driven by a desire to improve the built environment in which we live, enriching the lives of others by providing the buildings and structures required for society to thrive. He also finds working within a healthy team incredibly rewarding and enjoys promoting good communication and unity with others.

Away from the office he is at his happiest spending time with family and friends, dragging his bike up the next hill, enjoying a cup of coffee, getting competitive over a game of football or listening to a vinyl from his growing record collection.
