Ben Webber
BEng (Hons) MSc
Graduate Engineer
Ben hopes to apply many things learnt at university while rapidly increasing his engineering knowledge through its real-life application. His first job since graduating, he is keen to get involved in projects that use principles of low carbon engineering and contribute to the design of a timber structure.
At university he actively pursued further understanding of the challenges in relation to engineering and the environment. Namely how engineers can contribute to the Climate Emergency and ways to reduce the reliance and use of carbon intensive materials and processes.
As an undergraduate Ben secured a 13-month on site placement as a Setting Out Engineer. This gave him experience implementing drainage, foundations, reinforcement and surfacing, and carried out duties with the use of a Robotic Total Station (which he had particular fun using).
Being awarded the Francis Memorial Prize for academic excellence in Structural Engineering by the IStructE Western Counties in 2022 was a proud moment for Ben and he is excited to be working with the team at Integral and to start his journey towards becoming a Chartered Engineer.
Outside of work, Ben enjoys playing the piano with Einaudi as his favourite composer. He can regularly be found binge watching the latest series on Netflix and keeping up to date with everything Marvel and Star Wars.
