Toddington Manor

Gloucestershire

A Grade I listed, Victorian Gothic mansion, the building required major changes to restore it as a family home, artist’s retreat and art gallery. The problems found with the structure are typical for Victorian buildings and included roof repairs and stonework. Additional structure was only inserted where necessary, leaving the historic fabric in place and largely un-touched. Some strengthening required the raising of the ridge height of the roof which required significant negotiation with Historic England.
