Oxford Academy
The project included a 1050 place secondary school, a 400 place sixth form, an adult education learning centre, a public library, the Mabel Prichard School for children with learning difficulties and a sports complex – OX4. On this site, new buildings worked around existing structures to maximise the space on site. The new buildings – three new concrete framed blocks, the timber framed Mabel Prichard School and a steel framed sports complex – had to be created while normal school life continued.
“Built on the site of the former Peers School at Littlemore, these new school buildings exude an air of confidence, which is already having a positive influence on students and staff.”
