Boston Manor, Brentford

A Grade I listed building comprising a 17th Century manor house with 18th Century additions set in parkland. The house was in need of repair and Integral worked with the architect to provide a new lease of life. As well as repairs, the proposals included enhancing the visitor experience and increasing visitor numbers, by improving accessibility through provision of a new lift, inclusion of a cafe and better quality visitor interpretation. The service wing of the house has been converted into creative enterprise studio units. We undertook a structural survey, a point cloud survey and opening up works to help understand what repairs were required and to assess strengthening needed to meet the client brief as well as input into the design. The project was funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund.

“Integral have been a pleasure to work with from start to finish at Boston Manor. They have been a consistently knowledgeable, professional and proactive member of the design team, quickly responding to any queries from the client, contractor or architect and always going above and beyond to help and to ensure that the issue has been resolved appropriately. I would not hesitate to recommend working with them again – such reliable consultants are not always easy to come by.”
