The future of engineering is in his hands

16 August 2017

This week our Associate Gavin Knowles is adventuring into the world of academia to teach in the Architecture & Civil Engineering Department at the University of Bath.

This is a two day a week Teaching Fellow post, for three years, and will no doubt strengthen our links with the University. Gavin has always enjoyed teaching and has spent the last few years as an Associate Lecturer at UWE. For the University of Bath, Gavin will be supporting the design competition The Basil Spence Project and teaching second year students on steelwork, conservation and transport and infrastructure. He is excited to have the opportunity to experience the challenges of academic rigour. The role allows Gavin to impart his knowledge and provide an industry perspective to undergraduates wanting to enter the profession. Gavin hopes his time at the University will develop his leadership and presentation skills. When he returns full time to Integral he aims to use what he has learned and develop opportunities to disseminate interesting papers and talks on our projects.
