A new kind of school – embracing a Zero Carbon future

27 February 2017

Designed to create more energy in use than it consumes, Gagle Brook Primary School, is part of the Bicester eco town housing development, serving the new community in a sustainable way.

The timber glulam and CLT structure is exposed internally and externally which adds a soft and natural feel to the learning environment. The design incorporates: green roofs; district heating; solar panels; rainwater harvesting and SuDS to name a few. This exemplar building makes us want to go back to school!
